Congratulations!

Congrats to the Wellesley Whiptails, who defeated Tufts in the final.

On the men's side, Harvard beat WUFO/Kraftees 13-10.

Thanks to everyone who made this year's Purple Valley so amazing and we'll see you next year for Purple Valley XXIX!

On a more boring note, we'll be assessing damages (finding out from hosts which teams left their common rooms a mess, seeing if anything was damaged/stolen at the party) and after that we'll be sending out the $25 deposit checks. If you need a receipt, email Little Amanda at 10acw@williams.edu or Frecka Brasz at 09cfb@williams.edu

Version 1.0: The Announcement

Hey women's teams,

We are so pumped to announce that the 28th annual Purple Valley Classic will be held on October 13th and 14th of this year in THE Williamstown, Massachusetts and this year promises to be the PV you're going to tell your grandkids about. The men's side is making PV an invitational, but the women will be accepting bids for the best and brightest for the tournament and the party.

Speaking of the party, this year's theme is The Internet!!1 That means the Office of Vice will be transforming a 19th century inn into a 21st century manifestation of the world wide web. To make this transformation complete, we'll be filling the place to capacity with kegs, a live band, and obscene decorations so we expect you and your team to come properly attired (those without costumes will not be served. Or laid) and ready to make this the most ridiculous and fun Purple Valley yet.

The tournament fee for this year's PV will be $375 (US Dollars). We ask for a $200 deposit in our hands on September 23rd and then another $200 before games start. We will return $25 after the tournament if you behave yourselves. As always, your tournament fee covers two days of hot ultimate, the most epic tournament party in the history of ever, Saturday dinner, and some pretty bitchin' tournament food. You're paying this much, so please be able and willing to respect the Williams ultimate team, the campus, and the students of the college. This means showing up for both days, not trashing your room, and not doing anything that forces security to yell at us more than they usually do. Do not pee in any Williams students' rooms either (we shouldn't have to stipulate this, but apparently we do). Please bear in mind that Williams College is a *tiny* campus, so for us for house 32 teams is no easy feat and it gets harder every year, so please please please be respectful for your host's living space.

Now for the fun part: the bid. Since the theme is the internet, we will again only be accepting digital media (no exceptions). In your bid, please sum of the strengths (on the field and on the dance floor) of your team. Also, if your team were a website, what would it be? How will your team represent that at the party? Don't everyone say that they're going as porn, or we'll give you a roundhouse kick to the face. The bid process gets pretty competitive, so don't throw something together at the last minute. If you do not get into PV, please don't bitch at us. That's what blogs are for. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at PurpleValley07@gmail.com. You may also consult Wikipedia . Teams will be notified of their acceptance by September 28th.

Please send bids to us at
PurpleValley07@gmail.com and deposits to our treasurer:
